Hobert Hershberger, a highly respected citizen of the county, died at his home northwest of Cates, at 5 o'clock Wednesday morning of typhoid fever. He leaves a wife and three children. One of his daughters is just recovering from the typhoid fever and another is now dangerously ill of the same disease, which, it is said they contracted from the water they have been drinking. The deceased was about 35 years of age. He was a son of Henry Hershberger and was held in high esteem by all who knew him while the family have the sincere sympathy of everyone in their sad bereavement. The funeral was held Thursday at two o'clock in the afternoon, services being conducted by Rev. McCord in Centennial church after which the remains were laid to rest in the cemetery adjoining the church.  --(thanks muches John W)
